What’s a Book Bundle? 

  • Book Bundles are a service for all ages to
    help you get quick access to a variety of reading material.
  • Book Bundles are librarian selected bundles of up to 10
    items grouped together by format, topic or genre.

Why Checkout a Book Bundle?

  • If you’ve missed browsing our new book shelves, use Book
    Bundles to find your next great read!
  • Keep the kids reading!

How Do I Get One?

  • Click HERE to fill out our Book Bundle form.
  • It will take up to two days to process your order and
    you will be notified once it is ready for pickup.
  • A maximum of two bundles per person at a time will be
    allowed.

NEW: Take-Home Craft Kits

We are now offering take-home crafts for Kids, Teens, and Adults! Exercise your creative side with a craft from the library. All kits are available to take home for free (while supplies last).

  • Kids take-home crafts are paired with our Facebook storytimes.
  • Teen take-home crafts include instructions and all materials. 
  • Adult take-home crafts are paired with instructional videos available on our website, YouTube channel, or Facebook page.

Pick up craft kits for the whole family from the library lobby!

MeL Requesting is Back!

The Michigan eLibrary has resumed interlibrary loan services. MeL allows you to borrow books, movies, music and more for free from participating Michigan libraries. Search and request materials at mel.org.

Returns

To be sure they are safe for handling, all items returned will be placed in quarantine for at least 72 hours, but it could be up to a week before they are checked in. They will still show on your account as “checked out” during that time, but no fines will be charged.

No Donations Please

Our donation box is currently closed. Please keep all materials at this time. We will announce when we resume accepting donations. Please do not leave materials on or near the donation box.

NEW! Remote Library Card Sign-up

During this time of COVID-19 precautions, we are now allowing Westland residents to remotely sign up for library cards! 

These new cards will be valid for online resources through July 31st. Once we reopen, stop by with your valid ID and we'll renew your card for another 3 years.

Submit Your Work for Westland Writes!

Westland Writes is still happening! Submissions are now being accepted for our annual book of poetry and fiction by local authors. Visit the info page for submission guidelines and to read our previous issues. The deadline for submissions has been extended to May 15. Happy writing!
