Volunteers Needed
Seeking Teen Volunteers for the Summer

Will you be entering 9th grade or above in the fall? Do you like kids and reading? The Children’s Department is currently seeking teen volunteers to help for our Summer Reading Program, Dream Big, READ. Interested volunteers are asked to commit to two or more hours per week doing a variety of tasks. This is a great opportunity to earn service hours for your school or community organization while you have free time during the summer! Applications are available in the library or online here; please check out the application for more information and return completed applications to the Children’s Desk.

Duct Tape Wallets

Next week (April 21-28) is Money Smart Week, so all week long, the library is doing programming about saving money. On Saturday, April 28th at 1pm, teens can make their very own, one-of-a-kind duct tape wallet. The library will provide colored duct tape. If you come to make a duct tape wallet, stay for the "Building Great Credit for Teens" program provided by Jenny Hale of the Wayne-Westland Credit Union. Let's learn together how to be smart with our money!

You can also download audiobooks and music from the same site. Find out more about how it all works.
