Who are the Friends of the Library?
The Friends of the Library is an independent group of local residents and library users that helps support and promote the Library and its mission. Read the Bylaws for more detailed information about how the Friends organization is run.
What is the purpose of the Friends of the Library?
The Friends fund special programs and collection enhancements in the Library by raising funds from membership dues, and selling used books and other library promotional merchandise (t-shirts, tote bags, etc.). The Friends promote the Library and reading in the community.
When are the Friends of the Library meetings?
The 2nd Tuesday of each month at noon at the William P. Faust Public Library of Westland.
When are the Friends of the Library Book Sales?
The Friends schedule approximately four book sales each year. The schedule is on our Book Sale page.
What are the Membership Benefits?

How do I become a Friend of the Library?
You may pick up a copy of the Friends of the Library Application Form from the library’s Circulation Desk, or print and fill out the PDF version below. The form may be submitted to the library along with your annual membership fee. Annual membership is $5 for an Individual, $10 for a Family, $25 for an Organization/Business, or $100 for a Lifetime membership.
