The Teen Advisory Board would like to thank the Westland Community for contributing to Shh! Santa Helps Highschoolers in December! We raised $144 from bottle/can returns, purchased 48 gifts, and had 117 gifts donated! Shout out to TAB members, Janice S. and Zeinab M., for their hard work creating promotional materials, setting up the drive, and spreading the word. We will be hosting another Donation Drive in the summer, stay tuned for details!

Teen Advisory Board Resumes
Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to join Westland Public Library's Teen Advisory Board (TAB). We will meet virtually once a month on Tuesdays from 6-7pm to discuss library programs, online resources, and current trends. Earn an hour of community service time for each meeting you attend. Additional volunteer opportunities are available including writing book reviews, compiling book lists, and more! Summer Reading Starts Today!
Our 2020 TEEN Summer Reading Program starts today! This year's theme is Imagine Your Story!
Teens in grades 7-12 can participate by reading and earning PRIZES! Every 20 days of reading earns a prize, and at 40 days you get a FREE BOOK and an entry into our Grand Prize Drawing for gift cards and MORE!
The program runs from June 15 through August 15. Read 40 days during that time and record your days online HERE or stop by the library after June 22 to pick up a reading log from the front door. You can also find a printable version HERE. Prize pick-up for days you read begins July 29 and ends Aug. 29.
