24/7 Outdoor Lockers
The Westland Public Library offers you the ability to pick up held items at your own convenience with our outdoor lockers. Receive your holds even when we are closed!
Getting Started
If you are interested in using our outdoor locker service, your library account must have a valid email address on file. Visit the Circulation Desk to confirm your email address on file and inform us if you are in need of ADA compliant lockers.
Using the Lockers
To have your requested items held for outdoor pickup,
- Choose “Lockers” as your pickup location when placing your holds online, or request it from our library staff when placing holds in person or over the phone
- When your holds are ready, you’ll receive an email from Package Concierge with the information to access your locker(s)
- Once at the outdoor lockers, scan the barcode or type in the six digit code included in the email
- Retrieve your materials from the locker, and close the door once you are done
Frequently Asked Questions
Our outdoor lockers are located on the right side of the circle driveway near the main entrance of the building.
Items are held in our lockers for 10 days, the same amount of time that they are held for inside.
We do not allow any items from our special collections to be picked up from our lockers. This includes our Library of Things, hotspots and youth kits.
Yes! We do give the option to pick up items that are loaned from other libraries using our outdoor lockers.
We recommend checking your spam folder to see if it was sent there. If you cannot find the email after checking your email folders, visit the Circulation Desk at your convenience.
