Embark this summer on a journey of art and creativity, celebrating the myriad ways in which art enriches our lives.

“Color our World” during the library’s Summer Reading Program for kids, teens, and adults, running from June 7 – August 2.

Kids

Srp 2025Youth

Our Youth Summer Reading Program (SRP) is open to all children ages birth to 6th grade.

Drop by the library to register and receive your reading log. Reading logs must be returned by 5 PM on August 2 to qualify for prizes.

Kids who read for 40 days between Saturday, June 7 and Saturday, August 2 will receive a free book and be entered into our Grand Prize Drawings! You can earn prizes for every 10 days of reading. Read with us to attend the SRP Finale Party at the H20 Spray Zone at Tattan Park on Monday, August 6, from 5-7 PM (free admission).


Teens

Our Teen Summer Reading Program is for teens ages 12 to 18 or those going into 7th-12th grade.

Drop by the library to register and receive your reading log. Reading logs must be returned by 5 PM on August 2 to qualify for prizes.

Teens who read for 40 days between Saturday, June 7 and Saturday, August 2 will receive a free book and be entered into the Grand Prize Drawing! You can earn prizes for every 10 days of reading. Participants who read at least 30 days will be invited to the Teen After Hours Party at the library on Friday, August 1 from 6-8 PM.


Adults

Our Adult Summer Reading Program is for adults ages 18 and older. Use our online form to log the books you read or listen to between Saturday, June 7 and Saturday, August 2 for entries into our weekly prize drawings.

All prize entries will be included in the Grand Prize Drawing. Additional Grand Prize entries may be earned by completing challenges on the Summer Reading game board, available at the Information Desk at the Westland Public Library. One game board per person.
