Gifts & Donations
Thank you for your interest in donating to the Westland Public Library!
While we are in no immediate need of emergency funds, we always appreciate donations in many forms. The easiest way to donate is to our general fund. This fund helps us with ongoing behind-the-scenes items, such as small upgrades, supplies, or unexpected things that pop up.
Starting this Giving Tuesday, December 2nd, we’ll be launching our new online giving platform via Local Impact Alliance. Folks will be able to easily donate any amount at any time – right from their home or phone. All money donated through Local Impact Alliance comes directly to the library, with no fees or surcharges.
We also accept donations in-person, whether you’d like to make a general donation to the library or a tribute or memorial donation in honor of a loved one or family member.
No matter how you chose to donate to the Westland Library, your generosity is deeply appreciated. Support from people like you are what keeps the library strong and committed to the community.

Tribute or Memorial Book Donations
You may choose the type of book (adult, teen or youth) and the subject for us to purchase for a donation. A librarian can help you choose if you are undecided or would like some guidance. A bookplate will be inserted in the book listing both the donor and honoree’s names. Typically, a gift of just $25 will purchase a book.
