Used Material Donations

Library donations

The Friends of the Library are currently accepting book donations. Donations of up to two boxes or bags per person may be dropped off in the lobby during the following times:

• Wednesdays from 1 PM – 7 PM
• Saturdays from 10 AM – 2 PM

Other Giving Opportunities

A gift to the Westland Public Library can provide individuals, families, organizations and businesses the unique opportunity to honor a loved one, bring recognition to a specific entity, or remember someone with a memorial.

Giving opportunities can also be designed to meet the specific needs of the donor and will be recognized in both library and community publications. Your contribution combined with other generous donations will make it possible for the library to continue its mission by providing avenues for education and recreation, enhancing the library’s offerings and services, and enriching our community.

Tribute of Memorial Book Donations

You may choose the type of book (adult, teen or youth) and the subject for us to purchase for a donation. A librarian can help you choose if you are undecided or would like some guidance. A bookplate will be inserted in the book listing both the donor and honoree’s names. Typically, a gift of just $25 will purchase a book.

General Library Donation

Your donation may be used to fund programs, equipment, furnishings, artwork or collections of materials at our discretion.
