What is a Westland Library Student Card?

These are library cards for students in grades K-12 who are residents of Westland.

Why get a Student library card?

The Westland Library Student Card will allow students access to our online educational and entertainment resources, including eBooks, educational websites, research databases, and more!

Can I check out books?

The Student Card begins as a “Digital Access” card, which will allow you to download eBooks and audiobooks from OverDrive and Hoopla. To receive access to our physical library materials, the student's parent/guardian will need to bring their ID to the library before the student card expires on June 30, 2021. See our library catalog to discover all we offer including books, movies, music, and video games!

How do I get a Westland Library Student Card?

To apply online, simply complete the Student Card Application Form. It can take up to 2 days to process your request. Your library card number will be sent to the email address you provide.

What if I'm not a student?

Westland residents are able to request a Digital Access Card. This card will allow residents to access our electronic resources and watch movies or check out books online for 30 days. Stop by the library with your valid ID and we'll renew your card for another 3 years.
